About the role
Own the sales number, run the team that produces it, and make sure the process is followed every day — not just on the days it is convenient.
You start by reviewing yesterday's activity across the team and dealing with anything that has stalled. Most of your day is spent close to the work — listening to calls, reading outbound emails, working alongside people on live opportunities, and running your own conversations. You end the week with the audit and the report.
This is a hands-on role in a small team. You will manage three to five people and you will also sell. If you are looking for a role where you only manage, this is not it yet — though it will become that as the team grows.
What you'll do
- The pipeline — its accuracy, health, and ability to be forecast. Every lead has an owner, a stage and a next action with a date.
- The team's activity — daily numbers reviewed, weekly targets held, defects found and corrected within days rather than quarters
- The weekly audit — ten leads sampled at random against our defect list; findings reported to the founder each week
- Coaching — listening to calls, reading emails, and improving how each person works, specifically not generally
- Your own pipeline — a reduced but real personal target. You lead from in front, not from a spreadsheet.
- The numbers the founder sees — a weekly report he can act on: activity, conversion at each stage, what is at risk and why
- Hiring and onboarding into the sales team as it grows
What we're looking for
- 4–8 years in B2B sales, with at least one year leading or supervising a team
- A track record you can describe in numbers, including targets you missed and what you did about it
- Excellent spoken and written English — you will speak with international clients and prospects directly, and set the standard the team writes to
- Experience selling services rather than products. Selling to the US, UK or UAE markets is a strong advantage.
- Comfortable running a process and holding people to it — including when they push back
- Fluent with CRM and pipeline reporting; able to explain a forecast and defend it
- Able to work the shift (1:00 pm – 10:00 pm PKT), which may move earlier for UK or UAE-focused work
Nice to have
- You measure activity, not optimism, and can tell the difference in someone else's week
- You give direct feedback early and kindly, rather than saving it for a review
- You would rather report a bad number accurately than a good one loosely
- You are willing to do the work yourself when the team is short, without treating it as beneath you
- You want to build something — a firm with thirteen years of history and a sales function still being built
What we offer
- Competitive base salary plus performance incentives tied to team results and your own
- Direct reporting line to the founder and real influence over how the function is built
- Documented processes, research tools and a defined offer — you are improving a system, not inventing one
- Scope to grow into a wider commercial leadership role as the team and revenue grow
How we hire: (1) Application form — track record in numbers, team experience, written English. (2) 20-minute video call — spoken English, clarity of thinking, availability. (3) Practical exercise — review a sample pipeline and tell us what is wrong with it and what you would do first. (4) Founder interview — judgement, how you coach, how you handle underperformance, honesty about your own results. (5) Reference check — two references, one a direct former manager. Applications are reviewed within five working days.
