Senior Accountant

Lahore or remote (Pakistan)Full-timeUS shift overlap (approx. 6:00pm–3:00am PKT)

About the role

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of international clients — running their monthly close from start to finish, keeping their books reconciled to the cent, and producing the reports their leadership actually makes decisions on. This is hands-on accounting for real businesses in the US and UK, not data entry.

You'll work inside modern cloud stacks (Xero, QuickBooks Online, A2X, Hubdoc, Gusto), with documented processes behind you and a senior reviewer checking your work. You'll speak to clients directly.

What you'll do

  • Run end-to-end monthly close for your client portfolio, to a day-5 deadline
  • Own bank, credit card and payment-processor reconciliations
  • Manage AP and AR cycles, and support payroll processing
  • Prepare management accounts and support US federal/state filings
  • Join client calls and explain the numbers in plain English
  • Document your processes so your named backup can step in seamlessly

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Regular hands-on use of Xero or QuickBooks Online
  • You've run a monthly close yourself, unsupervised
  • Confident spoken and written English — you'll be client-facing
  • Able to work at least a 4-hour overlap with US business hours
  • Residing in Pakistan and legally able to work here

Nice to have

  • Xero Certified / Advisor, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor
  • ACCA, ICMA or CA (qualified, finalist or part-qualified)
  • Experience with A2X, Hubdoc, Gusto or Bill.com
  • Multi-entity or multi-currency exposure

What we offer

  • Direct work on US, UK and UAE engagements — genuine international experience
  • Certification support on Xero and QuickBooks Online
  • Documented processes, senior review and a named backup on every client
  • Work from our Lahore office or remotely from anywhere in Pakistan
How we hire

Application (10 min) → eligibility review (5 working days) → 20-min video call → 90-min supervised practical test with a short discussion → 30-min final interview. Typically two to three weeks end to end.
